Steve Ebersole resolved HHH-6056.
---------------------------------
Resolution: Rejected
Well technically we used to use jakarta commons logging, not log4j yet that was not an
issue before? slf4j is capable of routing to log4j just like commons logging. Feel free
to reopen with more description if you feel there really is a problem here.
Documentation uses slf4j but instructs user to use a log4j config

Key: HHH-6056
URL:
http://opensource.atlassian.com/projects/hibernate/browse/HHH-6056
Project: Hibernate Core
Issue Type: Bug
Components: documentation
Affects Versions: 3.6.2
Environment: In section 1.1.6. Startup and helpers of the documentation, it
instructs the user to copy a log4j.properties from the distribution, but instead uses
slf4j according to the pom.xml. I don't believe that the log4j.properties is needed in
the example.
