In other words, the foreign key for the collection table was created with ON CASCADE DELETE behavior. There is currently no way to specify the on-delete attribute for <one-to-one> mappings. This means that hibernate will need to execute delete statements for the child end of a one-to-one association instead of letting the database do the work.
