I only see the occasional JGroups GroupRequest execution error during the cache startup
phase, during discovery. But this goes away once everyone has discovered each other.
Have you tried using UDP instead of TCP?
cache.get() takes some times 15 seconds to execute

org.jgroups.blocks.GroupRequest - call did not execute correctly.
