But that is inefficient, because {{CodedInputStream.StreamDecoder}} needs to allocate a buffer and copy from the stream into the buffer before processing. Instead we can pass the {{byte[]}} directly to {{CodedInputStream}} and use {{CodedInputStream.ArrayDecoder}}, which doesn't need a buffer.
