Thanks for the analysis [~dan.berindei].
One way of fixing #3 is probably to enhance that check to also check for the existence of
a class file with a newer timestamp than that generated .java source file that already
passed the content comparison check. This way we can deal with broken intellij and
maven.

Coming from a Quarkus issue, the maven compiler plugin in version 3.8.1 seems not working
properly with classes compilation and generation
