When enabling logging on the CacheStore, which is being used with preload=true, I can
clearly see that during the preload operation each value is read from the store and
immediately after that stored again.

I don't think I need a different API, as Infinispan should be able to figure out what
it optimal to do according to state and configuration.
Maybe a boolean could be added to the cacheentry, to track if the value is already present
in the store or not. This will also avoid re-storing the values again after a rehash,
which is another problem I had in the past and really slows down rehashing as it relies on
the CacheStore peroformance.
I'm really talking about the shared cache stores only, so I'm not sure how this
could be applied to the store-per-node use case.

Hmmm, this requires some thought since you can chain cache stores. This means that, you
could be preloading from a shared cache store but wanting that to be stored in your local
cache store. What you want to avoid is to store in the same cache store from which you
read. Trustin, fancy looking into this?

Perhaps this needs the flag SKIP_CACHE_STORE on line 133 on Trustin's link above. But
good point, Galder, re: chained stores.
In any case, any *shared* store should be bypassed when storing something due to a preload
or a rehash. So for this we'd need yet another flag, SKIP_SHARED_CACHE_STORE.

Looking at the cfg, if a chaining cache store is used, the shared/unshared flag applies to
all cache stores in the chain. :/ While that makes dealing with this bug easier, I can
see this needing to change: chaining cache stores will be of limited value if they all
have to be either shared or unshared.
