WFLY-705: what's replacing undertow-jsp in latest undertow?

Hi Stuart I am looking into having the new request header- and ip based filters in undertow available to wildfly/ManagementHttpServer. When switching undertow in wildfly from Beta26 to Beta31 I saw that the module undertow-jsp was removed in Beta29. Thus wondering what's replacing it? I'd appreciate a lot if you could hint me some migration path for wildfly so that I can stick to latest undertow in current wildfly. Thanks André

WildFly 8 CR1 Update

Hello Everyone, I know many of you have left for the holidays but for those that are still around and wonder whats going on with CR1, I thought I would give you an update. The good news is that this week we think we have resolved all TCK issues and *should* be passing 100%. However, we hit some bad luck during the week and the JBoss.ORG nexus repository has been unreliable preventing and/or slowing down our ability to perform needed updates. That was finally sorted last night. However, immediately after that was resolved, we ran into a new issue with an internal shared testing environment that we use to execute the TCK. This prevents us from doing one last necessary sanity run, and testing takes approximately 24 hours. So, unfortunately, this means there will be no release today. However, as soon as we get those test results I will cut the release. Thanks, and my apologies for the inconvenience. -- Jason T. beta2 ETA?

I was wondering if Wildfly Beta 2 will be released anytime soon. I'm bundling an app server with 1st Keycloak release as an "appliance" download. Intermittent Yet Frequent Failure in JmsClientTestCase

Configuration of statistics gathering

I'd like to get some info from the component leads responsible for WF subsystems. 1) What statistical data does your subsystem capture (including the underlying libraries it integrates). 2) What configuration options do you support for enabling/disabling statistics gathering. What's the resource address and attribute name of the config option? 3) Is the statistic gathering enabled by default? Paul Ferraro's pull request [1] fixing JIRA [2] prompts this question, although it's long overdue. WF should be consistent about how we handle configuration of statistics gathering, so I'd like to take the opportunity of Paul's PR to move in that direction. WFLY-705: how should access restrictions get configured?

Hi I'm trying to come up with implementation for https://issues.jboss.org/browse/WFLY-705 where a user should be able to restrict access to the management service by IP and UserAgent. The filters are implemented and now I'm up to come up with the configuration options. I'm thus asking for input. From a noob (sorry, I'm not very intimate with wildfly/undertow yet) perspective <access-control> looks like a compelling tag to be nested into <management-interfaces><http-interface>. Even though <access-control> is used for RBAC currently, the code for it looks abstract enough to get reused. Any ideas? Cheers André

Hibernate Search as a dependency

So recently, Hibernate Search has been added as a dependency of Wildfly. I think for two reasons: - Infinispan when using <indexing/> requires it - CapeDwarf is a customer of Infinispan, its indexing and Hibernate Search I am a bit concerned about that move because Hibernate Search (depending on the options you choose) can bring a significant dependency graph and I don't want Wildfly to suffer from that. As part of Hibernate Search, we do work and offer a Wildfly module to ease the integration but it seems the work as been duplicated. So my question to all of you guys is the following. Isn't it enough to let Hibernate Search keep up with the module definition and let use add the module when they need either Hibernate Search, Infinispan indexing or CapeDwarf? Emmanuel
