Steve Ebersole commented on HHH-2703:

Thanks for following up with that.
More I was curious because it does not seem that ExtendedJTATransaction is always
available. I never really found documentation on this (granted, not that I try all that
hard aside from google) so perhaps this is misconception... but it seems like
ExtendedJTATransaction is only available at certain times and from within certain
containers. Is that inaccurate? That was more the reason for looking at this.
IBM would only be looking at this from the perspective of JPA integration (for some
reason) I am sure ;) But, of course, I am more interested in general Hibernate usage.
Investigate integration between Spring and WAS TM
-------------------------------------------------
Key: HHH-2703
URL:
http://opensource.atlassian.com/projects/hibernate/browse/HHH-2703
Project: Hibernate3
Issue Type: Task
Components: core
Reporter: Steve Ebersole
Assignee: Steve Ebersole
Fix For: 3.3
Supposedly as a result of Spring and IBM's blood pact, Spring has tight integration
with the WAS TM (not sure how that is possible since IBM continually claims that TM access
is unsupported whenever this is asked in relation to Hibernate). Anyway, there may be
some stuff we could use here...
