Alec Lanter commented on ANN-504:
---------------------------------
This issue is similar to ANN-394, but is not fixed by including <join> support
inside <joined-subclass>, as the inheritance requires the superclass to contain the
weak entity reference.
InheritenceType.JOIN does not play well with weak entities mapped
with SecondaryTable

Key: ANN-504
URL:
http://opensource.atlassian.com/projects/hibernate/browse/ANN-504
Project: Hibernate Annotations
Type: Bug
Versions: 3.2.0.ga
Environment: Hibernate 3.2.1; db is irrelevant, as sessionfactory will not build
Reporter: Alec Lanter
Attachments: Tests.zip
When binding a weak entity to a class using @SecondaryTable, @Embedded, and
@AttributeOverride (see attached source), Hibernate complains that the secondary table
cannot be found when the original containing entity is subclassed. This is an
annotation-specific issue, as XML-based mapping documents support using <subclass>
as an alternative to <joined-subclass> when the parent class contains the joined
component (see Entity.hbm.xml), but annotations appear to treat all JOINED inheritance
types as a <joined-subclass> mapping.
