Veit Guna commented on HHH-695:
-------------------------------
Are there any news on this? Tried to "delete from" but sets delcared as
"all-delete-orphan" won't be deleted by the cascade - instead an exception
is thrown concerning constraint violation.
Deleting the same object with delete() works though.
Ability to specify cascading in HQL delete
------------------------------------------
Key: HHH-695
URL:
http://opensource.atlassian.com/projects/hibernate/browse/HHH-695
Project: Hibernate3
Issue Type: New Feature
Components: query-hql
Reporter: Steve Ebersole
Assignee: Steve Ebersole
Add the ability to cascade HQL deletes.
Something like:
delete Person p cascade p.addresses
Obviously, this is better handled as in-DB cascade delete constraints, but for
completeness...
