In Hibernate Reverse Engeneering editor, tab "Table and Column", when i click on button "add", i have a lot of warning messages, the PluginLogAppender cause an infinite wait.

workaround is simple, i disable PluginLogAppender.
i don't know how to correct this problem.
No problem with previous version of hibernate Tools.

@Index can be defined at the class level @o.h.a.Table(indexes=) and contain an ordered array of columns. So proper column ordering can be ensured.
We actually can do the same for @NaturalId
use a random order if @NaturalId is set to properties
use a specific property if @NaturalId(properties={}) is defined at the class level
Ah, I tend to no longer pass arguments like isNatural and isMutable. Instead I read the annotation when I need it. The code becomes much more maintainable. Following this strategy will solve your Boolean problem. Basically mutability will look like something like that
isMutable(XProperty property) {

I am getting DB2 SQL error: SQLCODE: -107 (name too long) exceptions when trying to select rows based on Many-to-one or one-to-many relationships.
Looking at the generated sql I can see that the Alias name generated for the TimeStamp column is one character too long for DB2's max of 18.
The alias when not searching using a many-to-one or one-to-many relationship is SUBMISSION28_48_9_ but for the same property the alias changes to SUBMISSION28_48_10_ which is 19 chars long, one too many for DB2.
Is this a bug in Hibernate's DB2390 dialect? I've seen similar problems in the forums and the only solution is to extend the dialect or Column class.
Is there any other way to get rid of this problem?

The unrelated change you mention was the only one in the patch. It was done automatically by my Eclipse and it seemed ok, but I'll remove it.
Why is it important to handle ordering in natural ids? To "optimize" the index putting some fields first? I don't see that posibility in @Index... In which way it wouldn't be predictable?
Some doubts I have with the patch is the way I pass the "mutable" attribute. It looks a generic argument, but I'm only passing it from the natural id handling. That's because I have declared as "Boolean" so that it can be null (which means... I don't know here if this should be mutable).
In any case? What would you say I should modify in order to make this suitable for inclusion?

your fix is good for a single-transaction at a time. I've tried 30 transactions at the same time, and it failed with a lot of exceptions (like "Session is closed"). Tested on WAS 6.0.2.17. The first patch (for JTASessionContext.java) works for this case without any problems :)
