I think we might need to step back here and ask ourselves about the validity of queries with 1000 expression long IN lists and 2000 overall parameters...
But as to the specifics of splitting it up into multiple queries and then I guess merging results back in memory, that for sure will not work. What about:

I agree that the proposed solution probably wouldn't work in all cases. However, I've run into this issue myself on a number of occasions. It would be nice if the framework could help out in these situations. It always seems like there should be a way to avoid the boilerplate code that you end up writing in these cases. What about a helper class to help with breaking up the list and execute the query multiple times?
