The big question is how much *Field specific properties are needed. For example does the spatial approach require configuration? About the spatial support, that's still a todo but the Lucene spatial support has been refreshed/rewritten (Nicolas Helleringer has been helping in this area at least in design / review). That's the one I want to get support for.
