The issue is still present in JDK8 b132 (third release candidate).
https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8024045 has now been closed as duplicate of https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8035897, and this appears to be fixed but maybe only for JDK9? I'm chasing this with Oracle.
