bq. wasn't it simpler to upgrade to the much improved later version of Infinispan?

> I have been trying to use Infinispan as a Lucene directory provider under Hibernate Search. A single node writes to the index via JMS. A configuration that uses Infinispan in distributed mode seems to work under development, but under load results in an exception that looks like the following.

[JBoss JIRA] (ISPN-5406) Deprecate eviction thread pool executor in favor of expiration
by William Burns (JIRA)
William Burns created ISPN-5406:
-----------------------------------
Summary: Deprecate eviction thread pool executor in favor of expiration
Key: ISPN-5406
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/ISPN-5406
Project: Infinispan
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Core
Affects Versions: 7.2.0.CR1
Reporter: William Burns
Fix For: 7.2.0.Final
We currently have a "eviction thread pool" however this thread pool is only ever used for expiration of the data container and the various cache stores. We should deprecate any references of eviction and replace with appropriate expiration naming.

> Create a CacheEntryExpired notification and make EvictionManager send this notification when a cache entry is evicted because it is expired.
> Also mage sure the cache entry value is sent over in the event.
> CacheEntryEvicted notification should also send the entry value in the event.
