The plan is to support transactions over Hot Rod in 9.1.
However, for the purpose of your demo, [~sebastian.laskawiec], you should use NON_XA Pessimistic transactions which will do the right thing.

I agree with [~galder.zamarreno] here. There is no reason currently for optimistic transactions in the server. There is only ever 1 operation per invocation.
And the only reason afaik that transactions are even on hotrod is for the bug with concurrent replaces. It doesn't actually use transactions for their intended purpose allowing multiple calls to use the same context.

Hmmmm, why would the server be configured with optimistic transactional caches? The client has no method to start a transaction or batch and then commit it, so taking in account each possible (implicit) transaction right now would contain just one operation within it, what would be the sense of using optimistic transactions?
Optimistic transactions are normally used to avoid locking a key for the duration of the tx and instead relying on version checks at the end of the transaction. With HR, since only a single operation can be part of the tx, I hardly see much benefit to using optimistic locking since the lock duration would be the minimal it can be.
Am I missing something?

Currently the parent pom utilises `<resourceBundle>org.infinispan:infinispan-license:${project.version}</resourceBundle>` to bundle the apache license. However, as it uses `${project.version}` if another project inherits from parent, such as `infinispan-archetypes` then we get an error stating that `infinispan-license` cannot be found as it is trying to utilise the ${project.version} value of the child project to retrieve the license.
