[JBoss JIRA] (ISPN-2445) Safe shutdown - transfer data to other nodes
by Tristan Tarrant (JIRA)
Tristan Tarrant updated ISPN-2445:
----------------------------------
Sprint: Sprint 9.4.0.Beta1, Sprint 9.4.0.CR1, Sprint 9.4.0.CR3, Sprint 10.0.0.Alpha1 (was: Sprint 9.4.0.Beta1, Sprint 9.4.0.CR1, Sprint 9.4.0.CR3, Sprint 9.4.0.Final)
> Safe shutdown - transfer data to other nodes

>
> Distributed cache should provide an configuration option to block shutdown until data from shutting down node is transferred to other nodes.
> This feature is useful if Infinispan is used as persistent storage.
> Without this option, in a cloud environment, where server node is deleted on scale down event, users are forced to use external storage, if they don't want to loose data.

> Currently everything is placed in {{org.infinispan.spring}} package. We should provide exactly the same split as we did in CDI ({{org.infinispan.spring}} into {{org.infinispan.spring.remote}} and {{org.infinispan.spring.embedded}})

[JBoss JIRA] (ISPN-9514) Entry replaced with same expiration can expire immediately

> Currently lifespan expiration removes an expired entry based on the key value and lifespan parameter matching. Unfortunately this still leaves it open to removing an entry that was just inserted if it was expired and it was replaced with the same value.
> This is especially problematic with `RemoteCache.putIfAbsent` or other conditional operations as they perform a get before doing the actual operation.

Michal Stehlik commented on ISPN-9345:
--------------------------------------
Is there chance to have this issue resolved? In our system we can see this issue quite often when several nodes starts cache manager at once.
