Hi,
I'm trying to understand how we should use BOM's and which ones we should
use. As far as I understand it, EAP has a "build" BOM:
org.jboss.component.management:jboss-dependency-management-all:6.1.0-redhat-2
a supported artifact BOM:
org.jboss.bom:eap6-supported-artifacts:6.2.1.GA
plus some "developer" BOM's:
org.jboss.bom/eap:jboss-javaee-6.0-with-tools:6.2.1.GA
org.jboss.bom/eap:jboss-javaee-6.0-with-osgi:6.2.1.GA
However, FSW/DV/BRMS/BPMS only has a single BOM:
org/jboss/ip/component/management/ip-dependency-management-all/1.1-redhat-5
which is used for both the build, and for developers.
So, my question is:
should FSW/DV/BRMS/BPMS also have the "developer" BOM's?
I see that the BRMS quickstarts have their own jboss-javaee-6.0-with-drools
BOM. I guess that this needs to be built with the product, so that it can
be uploaded to the hosted repository [#] (assuming that the answer to the
above is "yes").

Yes.
OK. Would these be maintained by the JDF or the productisation teams? How
do we decide which -with-foo we need? (is foo "switchyard", "s-ramp",
etc.
or is it "fsw") How do we synchronise these - automatically generated seems
sensible.

OK. Assuming that the time-frame is to have these for the 6.1 releases, I'm
guessing that we have 3 months or so to work out the details. Are we going
to be building these for FSW and DV, as well as for BRMS/BPMS?

We normally both work on it - so prod team owns updating the versions to be correct, but
JDF team can help out too.

This is something JDF team can work with you guys on. But its largely based on what we
think developers will need. We’ve gone for a reasonably fine grained split (i.e.
switchyard, s-ramp), and we allow people to combine them as they like. We also tend to
produce an amalgam that represents the product.
What do you want to synchronise them with? The product build bom?
