That's true but we don't necessarily need something which hits performance issues, just something which is simple to run, exercises some EE (JBoss) code and in the process employs a few interesting JVM and OS capabilities. The quick starts fit the first two categories at least.

Coincidently, I just discovered thermostat this week and already ran it with the quickstarts. Worked great. It will also be highlighted on the data sheet flyer about Java on Fedora 17. Truly valuable tool. Cheers,
