This would be best.
However, if there's not enough time to do everything requried, then I
believe that low-risk things like "remove the threads extension and the
threads subsystem" could be left to the user (provided that they are
documented).
I expect we can do what's needed. At least for the standard configs we
shipped, which are easily to load and thereby find problems.
https://github.com/wildfly/wildfly-core/pull/953 is a big (and quite
simple) step.
