Does this mean that this distro will contain the Embedded Cassandra from
Hawkular Commons?
Yes
Has anybody already thought of which auth variant will be present there
in the distro? (a) Accounts (b) none?
Short answer: b
Long answer: So far the default auth mechanism is none. I hope in the
future we can get to a basic builtin auth support in Metrics. In any
case, I believe a time series database should not come bundled with an
IDM server.
And actually an equivalent question is which metrics war will be used
in
the distro? - (a) hawkular-metrics-component.war or (b)
hawkular-metric-rest.war?
Equivalent answer, b :)
I volunteer to prepare the distro.
Actually there's a PR ready
https://github.com/hawkular/hawkular-metrics/pull/469
Feel free to submit any comment.
Thanks,
Peter

Tools need to be both fast and easy to use, with the primary use case of moving a large
amounts data well beyond the capability of current REST interface (eg. moving 100GB of
data).
