In Hibernate collection roles are bound to the class they are defined in (e.g. ASuperclass.commonCollection). Given this mismatch the collection gets excluded from being indexed in FullTextIndexEventListener.processCollectionEvent > AbstractDocumentBuilder.isCollectionRoleExcluded.
