A small workaround for this is to set the default similarity statically in Lucene (which
works in HibernateSearch also) like this:
Similarity.setDefault(new YourOwnSimilarity());
Set this during startup of your application for instance. Even though I generally
don't like classloader-wide static settings ... it is currently 'good enough'
for our needs.
