This is an interesting point. We usually do not run cli per example, but per
whole testsuite. However, I we had CLI script example, we could isolate
examples better.
The question is, which testing model covers real world better, whether is it to
enable everything together from the beginning or whether to change
configuration in less intrusive manner. I'm slightly leaning towards the first
variant.
I have no clue how QA automated testing works, so I'm not much help
here. All I know is a few of the quickstarts require fairly complex
configuration and, in some cases, it must be removed because it will
interfere with other quickstarts. For example, the configuration for the
JTS quickstart interferes with the JTA quickstart. So, if you can
automatcally run the CLI configuration script, deploy and test the
quickstart, undeploy the quickstart, then run the CLI removal script
before moving on to the next quickstart, it seems like it should make
things easier for testing. :-)
