mike, the persistence module contains several classes that seem to be legacy to me: - PersistenceService, PersistenceCommands, PersistenceParts, etc If you agree I'll go ahead and remove the parts that are not used anymore. This will basically leave us with an extension that configures the hibernate sessionfactory. /heiko
