Not sure I agree with that. If my hosting company "Acme, Inc" provides
Hawkular services, then I'd alert my clients as "alerts(a)acme.com", as
configured on standalone.xml. I don't think my clients would want the
trouble in creating a special SMTP account or sharing their
credentials to an existing account just to get a customized "from"
address.
