I think we can use this when tweaking our WildFly standalone.xml file in our maven
builds.
I'll play with it and see how well it works.

FWIW, we did something similar in the portal using an XSL transformation
and xml-maven-plugin

Groovy has nice, intuitive support for updating xml documents[1]. You could use the gmaven
plugin to execute a groovy script that performs the updates.
