Do you plan to provide an Eclipse with Jboss Tools integrated ?
That would make the testing easier since I could just unzip the IDE and
test it alongside my current configuration.
What do you think ?

I don't know of any such plan. But this is what JBoss Developer Studio offers -
Eclipse bundled with our plugins. JBDS can be downloaded from
http://tools.jboss.org/downloads/ <http://tools.jboss.org/downloads/> , but
unfortunately builds of JBDS are not available publicly during the testing period. Feel
free to create a JIRA with such request at https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBDS/
<https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBDS/> . Then it can be considered.
Another option would be to use p2 director via command line to install JBoss Tools into an
unzipped Eclipse - that could still simplify it for you. Instructions on how to use p2
director via command line are for instance here:

Hi,
I've created https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBDS-3429.
I'm going to take a look at your p2 tool.
I had a bad experience with the oomph installer and so never went into
testing the 4.3.0.Alpha2 as the whole stuff was unstable.

Please do report issues you find in oomph.
For me I had bad experience with the very first ones. In M6 it was pretty pleasant.
So if you do have issues with it please open bugs so we can get it fixed in eclipse before
they close down for feature fixes(which is soon :/

Not in our plans since the intent is you can simply add this update site once and use help
> check for updates. If that fails that is the kind of thing we want to get bug reports
on!
The full package is what we do for developer studio and it is several hundred MBs bigger
and also more complex to build and test.
We haven't put this into jbosstools cat yet since we generally cant guarantee this
package will always work in the early milestones and we don't want to slow down
delivery by waiting for it to be ready too.
If others on CAT thinks this would help them do more early testing and feedback do let us
know and we can consider doing something in this area.
