We could do this efficiently if we tracked it using a counter value local to the I/O thread, and summed them when querying the stat. Hi all, I was just thinking about taking a task for volunteers in order to familiarize myself with Undertow code. I'm sure I have enough programming experience to do it. A good place to start would probably be the session manager statistics. I would create another interface (SessionManagerStatistics maybe) that exposes these statistics, and then modify the InMemorySessionManger to expose them. This should be done once this PR is merged: https://github.com/wildfly/wildfly/pull/6792 Note that there is a bug in the current version of Undertow where request and response bytes are not counted correctly due to a typo, this will be fixed in the next Undertow release.
