Martin Gencur commented on SEAMFORGE-36:

Lincoln, does the Ctrl+D work also for e.g. dependency-add, new-field custom,
repository-add, ... ? I mean their interactive mode. Now when I'm trying to escape
from dependency-add with Ctrl+c/exit it's not possible.
And another question... Shouldn't the fix version be higher? Because I'm testing
1.0.0.Alpha3 and it's not there. The only thing I get after pressing Ctrl+D is
"***ERROR*** Exception encountered: null (type "set VERBOSE true" to enable
stack traces)", the command really exits but it's not nice:)
Ability to backout of a command

Key: SEAMFORGE-36
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/SEAMFORGE-36
Project: Seam Forge
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: Shell
Affects Versions: 1.0.0.Alpha1
Reporter: Paul Bakker
Assignee: Lincoln Baxter III
Priority: Minor
Fix For: 1.0.0.Alpha3
The prompt should have the ability to cancel an action. In some cases you can get into
situations where the prompt is blocking, but there is no possible correct input, and you
can't get out of the prompt.
For example when installing new maven dependencies the prompt will display a list of
versions. If this list is empty, there is no possible correct value to get to the next
step. In a normal shell you would type ctrl-c to cancel a command, but that would close
Forge in this case. We need something like ctrl-c within Forge.
