[JBoss JIRA] Created: (JBIDE-666) Studio should not copy jar files to temporary directory
by Viacheslav Kabanovich (JIRA)
Studio should not copy jar files to temporary directory
-------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-666
URL: http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBIDE-666
Project: JBoss Tools
Issue Type: Task
Reporter: Viacheslav Kabanovich
Assigned To: Viacheslav Kabanovich
Fix For: 2.0.0.Beta4
In old Exadel versions (before Eclipse) we managed the class loader for project -
keeping it up-to-date with jars 'mounted' to the project. That 'model' classpath
was used to compile the project, to run user's ant tasks, etc.
To avoid locking jars in project, we copied them to a temporary
directory to files marked to be deleted on exit.
Now that project class path is managed by Eclipse, that functionality
of XModel is obsolete and must be removed.
Of course, without copying jar files, accessing them to load
XModel for entries must be implemented more carefully,
to prevent locking them.

Maxim Areshkau commented on JBIDE-621:
--------------------------------------
This looks like a bug in Mozilla (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=188886), and following problems ware founded in Mozilla when in windows
1) switching between (CH -EN) character input in Mozilla browser and VPE editor is 'CTRL+WHITESPACE', in eclipse this is reserved combination and content assistant doesn't work by this combination more(when in system exist chines input);
2)no more key event are handled when user trying to enter some chines characters in Mozilla browser,if after this user must type 'esc' and than key event are handled in Mozilla.

[JBoss JIRA] Created: (JBIDE-635) Red Hat Menu should be removed or rearranged
by Max Andersen (JIRA)
Red Hat Menu should be removed or rearranged
--------------------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-635
URL: http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBIDE-635
Project: JBoss Tools
Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: 2.0.0.20070731
Reporter: Max Andersen
The Red Hat Menu fills up unecessary space and the content is not related to anything "day-to-day" practical things.
Currently it contains:
1) Red Hat Struts Modules Configuration
2) Report Problem
3) Red Hat Web Site
4) Red Hat Developer Studio Help
#1 is/should be accessible elsewhere and feels weird to have here...should be removed
#2 should be under Help. I suggest after "Cheat Sheets..."
#3 should also be under Help if at all necessary
#4 should be under Help and it actually currently points to the RHDS forums - and it should actually only be here when we run RHDS, not JBoss Tools.
Which ends with this menu being empty.

[JBoss JIRA] Created: (JBIDE-656) Runtime JBoss 4.2 Server Adapter Runtime does not support project facet Java.
by Alexey Kazakov (JIRA)
Runtime JBoss 4.2 Server Adapter Runtime does not support project facet Java.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-656
URL: http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBIDE-656
Project: JBoss Tools
Issue Type: Bug
Components: JBossAS
Reporter: Alexey Kazakov
Assigned To: Rob Stryker
Priority: Blocker
Fix For: 2.0.0.Beta3
When I try create JSFKickStart Project and register it into JBossAS 4.2 (within new project wizard) I got "Runtime JBoss 4.2 Server Adapter Runtime does not support project facet Java 5.0"
Also if I try create Dinamic Web Project I can't choose JBoss AS as Target Runtime.
The reason is the same:
org.eclipse.wst.common.project.facet.core.runtime.internal.BridgedRuntime.supports( final IProjectFacetVersion fv ) returns "false" for any Java facets for jboss as runtime.
