DataSourceXMLDeployer chooses first server that matches runtime when several may match
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-926
URL: http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBIDE-926
Project: JBoss Tools
Issue Type: Feature Request
Reporter: Rob Stryker
It is possible that several servers may share a runtime, but have different command line arguments.
The DataSourceXmlDeployer class uses the following code to decide which server to publish to:
IServer[] servers = ServerCore.getServers();
for (IServer server : servers) {
String primaryName = primaryRuntime.getName();
IRuntime runtime = server.getRuntime();
if(runtime!=null) {
String serverName = runtime.getName();
if(primaryName.equals(serverName)) {
s = server;
}
}
}
This code will select the last server that matches the runtime. If several match, the last one is chosen.
Perhaps it'd be better if the Seam Project page had a section where the user could select manually which server to deploy to if several match.

[JBoss JIRA] Created: (JBIDE-929) Quick access to hot restart
by Max Andersen (JIRA)
Quick access to hot restart
---------------------------
Key: JBIDE-929
URL: http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBIDE-929
Project: JBoss Tools
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: Seam
Affects Versions: 2.0.0.Beta3
Reporter: Max Andersen
Assigned To: Denis Golovin
Priority: Critical
Fix For: 2.0.0.Beta4
Have a button (and easy available short cut) to do quick-restart of the current deployed app.
"quick-restart" means in jboss to touch the descriptor.
(see seam-gen which files to touch for EAR/WAR's)
An important thing to handle is that if the war is deployed to an ear the EAR's descriptor should be touched not the WAR's since that would not restart/reload the EJB's.

[JBoss JIRA] Created: (JBIDE-881) More intelligent intellisense for JSF managed beans created via SEAM annotations
by Christian Kerker (JIRA)
More intelligent intellisense for JSF managed beans created via SEAM annotations
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-881
URL: http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBIDE-881
Project: JBoss Tools
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: JSF, Seam
Affects Versions: 2.0.0.Beta3
Reporter: Christian Kerker
The IDE does already support intellisense for JSF managed beans which are created via SEAM annotations whose 'value' attribute is a string literal. Intellisens does however not work if the 'value' is any expression or even a constant. The affected annotations are:
@Name
@Out
@DataModel
Without correctly working intellisense, the JBoss Tools are next to useless for JSF/SEAM projects. Other IDEs, like IDEA Intellij, have already built-in support for expressions or constants as 'value' content.
