[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-11081) Small changes for warning message when enabling openshift application for existing project
by Lucia Jelinkova (JIRA)
Lucia Jelinkova created JBIDE-11081:
---------------------------------------
Summary: Small changes for warning message when enabling openshift application for existing project
Key: JBIDE-11081
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-11081
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: openshift
Affects Versions: 3.3.0.Beta1
Reporter: Lucia Jelinkova
Assignee: Andre Dietisheim
Priority: Minor
Fix For: 3.3.0.CR1
Existing message that appears during enabling OpenShift application for the existing project is informative, however, could you consider these suggestions?
- distinguish more explicitly what will be done on the "remote" and "local" side
- put "This cannot be undone" warning just before "Do you wish to continue?" question
- write more explicitly that Git will not only be enabled, but also connected to OpenShift server's Git
- the lines are not aligned
The message could then look something like this:
OpenShift application XXX will be enabled on project YYY by copying OpenShift configuration from server to local project and connecting local project to OpenShift Git repository.
The local project will be automatically committed to local Git repository and further publishing will eventually override existing remote content.
This cannot be undone. Do you wish to continue?

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-11213) Warning message in wizard when project with the same name already exists
by Lucia Jelinkova (JIRA)
Lucia Jelinkova created JBIDE-11213:
---------------------------------------
Summary: Warning message in wizard when project with the same name already exists
Key: JBIDE-11213
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-11213
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: openshift
Affects Versions: 3.3.0.Beta1
Reporter: Lucia Jelinkova

Priority: Minor
Fix For: 3.3.0.CR1
When creating a new OpenShift application there is a warning message displayed if there already is a workspace project with the same name.
_A project already exists with the same application name. This can cause problems when importing._
On the second page there is a validation that prevents user from creating a new project. Therefore, user can do two things:
# Close the wizard - cannot cause any problems
# Choose an existing project - cannot cause any problems
So actually no problems should occur. In order not to confuse user we could change the message to:
_A project already exists with the same application name._
At the moment, there is no such a validation during the OpenShift application import. In order to be consistent, the same warning message should be displayed.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-12043) Problems when changing user name on OpenShift Explorer
by Lucia Jelinkova (JIRA)

Attachments: single_account.ogv, two_accounts.ogv
When you have account in OpenShift Explorer and restart Eclipse, the user is disconnected after the restart. You are prompted to connect to the account but you are allowed to change also the user name. This probably should be prevented.
* If there is just one account, the second one is created with the same name.
* If there are two accounts and you want to connect to the first one you might be asked to connect to the second one - if you do so you'll end up with two second accounts.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-12042) Make remote as7 work OOTB - use the appropriate poller as necessary
by Martin Malina (JIRA)
Martin Malina created JBIDE-12042:
-------------------------------------
Summary: Make remote as7 work OOTB - use the appropriate poller as necessary
Key: JBIDE-12042
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-12042
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: JBossAS/Servers
Affects Versions: 3.3.0.CR1
Reporter: Martin Malina
Assignee: Rob Stryker
Fix For: 3.3.0.CR1
Currently, if you set up a remote as7 and use the defaults, it won't work.
You either need to check "Expose your management port" in the server editor (and set up a user in your remote as7 installation).
Or you need to change the Startup poller to Web poller (instead of JBoss 7 Manager Service which doesn't make sense unless you expose the management port).
It would be desirable to make this work OOTB - e.g. by default use the web poller - this would be the easiest solution that wouldn't require any extra logic, but also it wouldn't encourage users to use the management api.
Please, evaluate this and move to a future version if needed.
