[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-12153) Refresh server ports when server is added
by Martin Malina (JIRA)
Martin Malina created JBIDE-12153:
-------------------------------------
Summary: Refresh server ports when server is added
Key: JBIDE-12153
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-12153
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: JBossAS/Servers
Affects Versions: 3.3.0.CR1
Reporter: Martin Malina
Assignee: Rob Stryker
Fix For: 3.3.1
This is a follow-up from JBIDE-11854.
I agree that we cannot always check if the management port in standalone.xml is changed. But at least in the case when you add a server the ports should be refreshed.
The original steps to hit this problem are here:
1. Add AS7 server with management port set to 9899 in standalone.xml
2. Start the server - the server will be started correctly in a few seconds - this means the management port is detected correctly, perfect
3. Stop the server, remove the server runtime and server adapter
4. Change the management port of your AS7 server to 9799 in standalone.xml
5. Add the server again
6. Try to start the server - this time it will be "starting" until it reaches timeout, because it will assume the management port is again 9899 - FAIL

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-12312) If domain creation fails because of name that's already used, no info is visible in wizard after you closed the error dialog
by Andre Dietisheim (JIRA)
Andre Dietisheim created JBIDE-12312:
----------------------------------------
Summary: If domain creation fails because of name that's already used, no info is visible in wizard after you closed the error dialog
Key: JBIDE-12312
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-12312
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Enhancement
Components: openshift
Affects Versions: 3.3.0.Final
Reporter: Andre Dietisheim
Assignee: Andre Dietisheim
Priority: Minor
Fix For: 3.4.x
If you create a new domain on OpenShift, you'll have to provide it's name. This name has to be unique across OpenShift (for all users). If you use a domain name that's already used, you'll get an error dialog that informs you about the name not being unique across OpenShift.
!domain-name-already-used.png!
Once you close this dialog, noting is showing this error any more. The name field is not decorated with an error marker.
We should improved this:
* put an error decoration to the name text field
* put the cursor into the name text field (eventually select the whole name in it)
* eventually reach out to #libra to get a way to query the availability of the given name, so that we can validate while typing.
