> Hello,
> I just downloaded the new installer for JBoss Developer Studio 8.0.0.GA from here:
> https://access.cdn.redhat.com/content/origin/files/sha256/9f/9f3fab096014...
> Download was very fast. Afterwards I double clicked on the installer. Unfortunately it showed me a message that I can only install applications from the mac app store.
> {panel}
> "jboss-devstudio-8.0.0.GA-v20141020-1042-B317-installer-eap.jar" can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.
> Your security preferences allow installation of only app from the Mac App Store and identified developers.
> {panel}
> Right click on the file and then selecting open gives me the opportunity to ignore this warning.
> Nevertheless it might happen that users don't know this solution.
> Hope that helps

-------------------------------------
[~mmurray], on Windows, it's right-click and Open. But I don't think this applies to Windows - there is no "unidentified developer" message on Windows when you simply double click the jar in Windows Explorer.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-18715) OpenShift Server: Notification is shown once the server is started (e.g. EAP, AS...)
by Marián Labuda (JIRA)
Marián Labuda created JBIDE-18715:
-------------------------------------
Summary: OpenShift Server: Notification is shown once the server is started (e.g. EAP, AS...)
Key: JBIDE-18715
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-18715
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: openshift
Affects Versions: 4.2.0.Final
Reporter: Marián Labuda
Under "server" I mean EAP, AS, WildFly, Tomcat... catridges (server runtimes).
We talked with [~adietish] about having a notification about started server. It would help with application deployment to know, when the server is running and not to check/stare into the console.
Notification should be shown in the bottom right corner and at first it should inform user about server being started and that we are going to inform him/her once the server is started. Second notification would be shown once the server is started.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBTIS-348) User can not download the release note from Red Hat Customer Portal
by Nichola Moore (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBTIS-348?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.... ]
Nichola Moore commented on JBTIS-348:
-------------------------------------
Hi Paul,
I've spoken with Michelle Murray, and she has provided me with a procedure to create a release notes document which can be downloaded and printed. The procedure involves scraping the release notes text from the relevant Jiras using a script. I have noticed that most (if not all) of the Jiras are closed and do not have any release notes text. This procedure is used by the JDBS documentation team and would be a good idea to follow the same procedure as Michelle suggested that the JDBS IS doco should be hosted on the JDBS documentation portal page.
Michelle suggested that we reopen the closed Jiras, update the settings to say that the Jiras affect the Release notes, and add sample release notes text to the Jira. After that the developers would need to add the release notes text, then we can close the Jiras again.
I'm happy to do the reopening and setting changes, if I have permission, and Michelle has provided sample release notes text, which I can add to each Jira. Would you be able to persuade the developers to add release notes text to the Jiras?
The procedure is outlined in this Mojo doc - https://mojo.redhat.com/docs/DOC-944745
Thanks,
Nichola Moore

> In an Arquillian test class, any method marked @Deployment that returns something other than Archive is not being detected. For example, this method is not detected by the tooling, despite the fact that WebArchive extends Archive:
> {code}
> @Deployment
> public static WebArchive createDeployment() {
> ...code to create deployment here...
> }
> {code}
> As a result, the deployment validation features do not work, and the Arquillian Cruiser view does not allow the archive to be browsed. Curiously, however, there is no warning about a missing @Deployment method.
