Rob Stryker commented on JBIDE-2108:
------------------------------------
The view is made up of delegates. It's content provider gets a list of all the active
extensions and THEIR content providers, and asks them what to do.
Their menu / right-click action handler gets a list of all active extensions and passes
the request for menus down to the extension.
There is no support for the main view to pass the doubleclick action to the fileset
extension, or to the xml configuration extension, or to any of the extensions.
As of right now, all that's part of it is content providers, label providers, and
right-click handlers to get a valid menu. There is no support yet for the fileset
extension to provide an action to perform on double-click.
Double click on filtered file should open it for edit

http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBIDE-2108
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Affects Versions: 2.1.0.beta1
Reporter: Galder Zamarreno
Assigned To: Rob Stryker
Fix For: 2.2.x
Attachments: double-clicking-on-filtered-file-should-open-for-edit.png
After creating a File Filter in the JBoss Server View, double clicking
any files that match the filter should by default open them for edit.
Currently, it does nothing so you have to right click and select "Edit File"
