Beta2 status :: PLEASE READ
by Nick Boldt
Core component jobs are all running against github now (haven't moved
all the SOA stuff over yet).
Two (2) jobs are red due to test failures:
* Hibernate
* JavaEE
Five (5) jobs have failing tests:
* Base
* Central/Maven/Examples
* Server
* VPE
* Webservices
http://hudson.jboss.org/hudson/view/JBossTools/view/JBossTools_4.0.juno/
Please check your jobs and fix these if possible. As we're getting
closer to CR, it's time for another *OPERATION BLUE BALLS* / *OPERATION
GREEN BUILD*.
I would prefer to not have to open JIRAs for all your components'
failing tests, so if your component is listed above, please...
1. open JIRA(s),
2. create a topic branch & checkout from that branch
3. pull updates from the beta2x branch
4. fix the problem, check it in, push to your fork's topic branch
5. pull-request* it be merged into the origin.
6. Then repeat on a new topic branch for the master branch.
(If the above git workflow looks wrong, please reply here and correct
it. I'm new to git so I'm still trying to ensure I do things in the
correct sequence.)
Thanks in advance!

[gitmigration] renaming jbosstools-jbpm to jbosstools-jbpm3
by Max Rydahl Andersen
Hi,
It's been suggested in JBIDE-12996 that jbosstools-jbpm gets renamed to jbosstools-jbpm3 to avoid any misconceptions on this being about jbpm5.
The rename of a repo is really not something we want to happen often since it invalidates everyones remotes and forks; so lets be sure we don't do something hasty.
I *really* really hate having version numbers in repos since it always is incorrect at some point, i.e. jbosstools-jbpm contain both support for jbpm3 and jbpm4 in its history.
How about jbosstools-jbpmlegacy ?
or anyone else have a good name ?
Thanks,
Max

branching tomorrow - please check/cleanup jira and report any blockers/issues ASAP
by Max Rydahl Andersen
Hey,
This is our first time branching on git and things are a bit different and we'll need to adjust things going forward.
For now we'll add a jbosstools-4.0.0.Beta1x branch to all the involved repos on github.com.
That will happen tomorrow as outlined in Nick's email.
If you have issues/concerns/outstanding issues please let us know and please - we are close to CR/GA time so your jira bucket needs cleaning out or mark issues as blocker/critical if they truly are blocking
and needs reacting to!
Thanks!

Re: [jbosstools-dev] 32/64 bit issues from Alpha2 ?
by Denis Golovin
Shouldn't we mention this issue in install doc here http://www.jboss.org/tools/download/installation/update_4_0?

Do you know if it´s possible to install JBoss Tools in a 32-bit Eclipse even with a 32-bit JDK? Anyways, tomorrow I will double check this other machine configuration (I don´t have it with me now).
