JBT 4.0.1.CR1a / JBDS 6.0.1.CR1a built with older target platform 4.22.1 instead of 4.22.2

Due to recent changes to the way we run the Jenkins jobs, using explicit commandline overrides to specify the target platform version used, the new Juno-based 4.22.2 target platform listed in the parent pom was NOT used to run the jobs for 4.0.1.CR1a / 6.0.1.CR1a. (More manual steps / things to update == more chance something will be forgotten.) The result of this is that aggregate builds did not run with, and therefore include, the newer m2e-wtp 0.17.0 bits (https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-13603). Thanks to Len for exposing this problem. So... I'm respinning the aggregate sites today (JBT WTP, JBT Core, JBT Core Tests, JBDS Core + Installer). I could also respin the individual projects too, if we want to verify that all ours tests are run against the newer TP. Why does update/kepler now point to Alpha2 ?

I noticed tonight that downloads.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/kepler/ now points to Alpha2-snapshot. Isn't this site referenced by our /development site where there is alpha1 that is not tested against alpha2? ps. tried investigate with https://github.com/ifedorenko/p2-browser but that seems to no longer launch with neither java6 nor java7 :( /max

Tycho 0.17 enabled in parent pom

Hi all, As Nick announced some days ago, we have planned to move to Tycho 0.17. We've made several successful tests with the staging version of Tycho 0.17, and some of you have reported some successful tests too, and no-one reported a blocker. So current snapshot of parent pom was updated to use Tycho 0.17: https://github.com/jbosstools/jbosstools-build/commit/6c8db1619a3b10bdae0... It has been built and is now available on Nexus, so Tycho 0.17 is now used by default by all local builds and CI jobs for master. JBDS 6.0.1.CR1b / JBDS 4.0.1.CR1b respin status: DELAYED (pending slow builds and yet more test failures)

2 deprecated / unused variables removed from JBoss Tools parent pom in master branch (4.1.0.Alpha2-SNAPSHOT)

FYI: As part of the ongoing cleanup/simplification of the JBT parent pom, I've removed these two variables, which are no longer used, referenced, or needed: - <JBT_VERSION>4.1.0</JBT_VERSION> - <TARGET_PLATFORM_VERSION-maximum>4.30.5.Alpha2-SNAPSHOT</TARGET_PLATFORM_VERSION-maximum> JIRA: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-13452 PR: https://github.com/jbosstools/jbosstools-build/pull/79 Instead of TARGET_PLATFORM_VERSION-maximum, the new variable is TARGET_PLATFORM_VERSION_MAXIMUM. JBT Kepler M6 target platform does not include org.junit4 bundle, so tests may fail (but it's an easy fix!)

If you use the latest JBoss Tools 4.1 target platform, which now includes Kepler M6, you will discover that some of your tests may fail due to the fact that org.junit4 has been removed from Eclipse 4.3.0.M6. Please update your tests' plugins/features to depend on org.junit_4.11 instad of org.junit4_4.8. Similarly, if you depend on SWTBot 2.0.5, please update your dependency to SWTBot 2.1. memory leak in alpha1/Kepler

We got Jesper Skov at https://community.jboss.org/message/804026#804026 reporting big memory issues on Kepler and xmodel is showing up as a massive memory hog - not sure if it is better or worse than past versions but "something" seem to have changed. Anyone seen similar issues or got an idea what is causing this difference in consumption ? /max

Ceylon IDE and OpenShift

Hi, I made a new OpenShift cartridge for Ceylon. As I understand it will automatically appear (via rest) in Tools console as OpenShift application type. It would be great, that users can start writing code in Ceylon IDE. Sample application includes Eclipse's .project, so it can be imported as existing project into workspace. Are there any plans to include Ceylon IDE as part of JBoss Tools? Can we prompt to user "Install missing plugin: Ceylon-IDE" and automate plugin installation?
