> Title: Install Hybrid Mobile Tools and CordovaSim
> Describe the issue:
> The 8.2 chapter's current sub-chapter order is confusing. There are example screens shown in chapter 8.2.4. and 8.2.5., which the user can't find until he installs the Hybrid Mobile Tools by following the chapter 8.2.6.
> Suggestions for improvement:
> I recommend the order to be 8.2.1., 8.2.2., 8.2.3., 8.2.6., 8.2.4., 8.2.5.
> Also, it'd be wise to link the 8.2.4. and 8.2.5. chapters from the 8.2.6.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBDS-2866) CordovaSim Debugger
by Burr Sutter (JIRA)
Burr Sutter commented on JBDS-2866:
-----------------------------------
Watched the video, in 720p this time :-)
This is starting to look very nice, we might as well drop the FireBug Lite once this is in place - especially if it stays open during LiveReload refreshes :-)
At 30 seconds, you demonstrate how to identify and then correct a JS syntax error (missing comma), I think many folks would just try to change that in the debugger itself, not necessarily going back to the source editor.
Do the line numbers match up between the debugger and if using Eclipse as the JS editor? I assume so
I like that you are showing this in the context of a Cordova-based app, those are not easily loaded up in regular Chrome for debugging.
As far as Chrome vs JavaFX goes...our userbase would prefer to have access to Java 7 even if that means they must install Chrome to get this capability working - as it goes right now, I believe a large percentage of HTML5-focused developers know they need Chrome (I hope) as it is primarily how most thought leaders/HTML5 evangelists demo it.
Chrome is now offering on-device debugging support for Android devices as well and often a developer can install Chrome on his development workstation, even if the corporation forces IE as the standard on the average corporate desktop.

> The current FireBug Lite in CordovaSim has the following limitations:
> 1) When using LiveReload, the window closes with every reload
> 2) Various "page load" events with console.log statements are not visible in FireBug Lite console, like having console.log() in your deviceready
> http://screencast.com/t/RRGhV9PV
> Note: I forgot to add the Console Cordova plugin, not sure if that is necessary but the window closes, so not sure how I would see the message

> jquery mobile 1.4 is coming out and apparently have performance fixes making it better suited for cordova development.
> Noets from Vineet:
> "I wouldn't say 1.4 is more compatible. It's a case of jQM 1.4 being more suitable
> for Cordova apps. jQM 1.4 is more performant and thus Cordova apps are less sluggish.
> The release notes allude to this: http://jquerymobile.com/blog/2013/09/24/announcing-jquery-mobile-1-4-beta/
> I've got no hard numbers here, but this slides in this talk - http://www.slideshare.net/AlexanderSchmitz/austin-26252266
> gives a better overview of what's in 1.4. Slide 22 is most relevant -
> jQM 1.4 ships with a better default theme that improves performance,
> among various other changes discussed in other slides."
> Need to find out what issues jquery mobile palette and others might have with supporting jquery mobile for both 1.3 and 1.4...will be relevant with future new versions too.
