> In order to start Eclipse 4.10-based builds, we need an updated target platform.
> Note that Eclipse 4.10 drops support for win32 and lin32 platforms, so poms will need to be updated accordingly. 32-bit is dead, long live 64-bit!

[JBoss JIRA] (JBDS-4642) JDK9 Certification - *running* Devstudio with jdk9

Pavol Srna commented on JBDS-4642:
----------------------------------
hi [~odockal], this jira is irrelevant at this time. Let's open new one for jdk 11 - to link issues found at one place. However we will track the complete certification in a polarion test run, because this has not been working well. It was very hard to see why the sub jiras were left open - because it was not done yet?, or becase there was an issue?
So to move forward - let's open jdk 11 epic to link new jdk 11 issues that will be found at one place.
And let's track the complete jdk 11 certification in a polarion test run.

[~psrna] [~nickboldt] Shouldn't we create new jira for jdk 11 certification? I tried devstudio with jdk 11 and got some issues: BIDE-26459. Jdk 9 will not be supported if I am not mistaken?

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-26460) Cannot start CDK/Openshift with Oracle JDK 11.0.1
by Ondrej Dockal (Jira)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-26460?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugi... ]
Ondrej Dockal updated JBIDE-26460:
----------------------------------
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install devstudio with Java 11 (I used JDK 11.0.1 - oracle openjdk, should be under GPL2 as no openjdk-11-jdk are not yet available, as of my knowledge - link: https://jdk.java.net/11/)
2. Download cdk-3.6.0, configure it
3. Create CDK server adapter 3.2+
4. Start server adapter
5. ASSERT: Adapter is started and openshift/docker connection exist and are functional (check web console)
Actual result: Openshift tooling throws an error (java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/xml/bind/DatatypeConverter) and creates "connection" with such name

I got Oracle's open jdk 11.0.1 version and installed devstudio with it, when devstudio is run, red hat central page is open by default, this brings multiple errors, as Java 11 is dropping some java ee modules (https://openjdk.java.net/jeps/320).

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-26458) Import Entities from DB with ManyToMany relationships doesn't manage mappedBy
by Matt B (Jira)
Matt B created JBIDE-26458:
------------------------------
Summary: Import Entities from DB with ManyToMany relationships doesn't manage mappedBy
Key: JBIDE-26458
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-26458
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: hibernate
Affects Versions: 4.6.0.Final
Environment: Eclipse: Oxygen.3a Release (4.7.3a) Build id: 20180405-1200
DBMS: Sql Anywhere 17.0.9.4857
Annotations jdk 1.5+
Hibernate Version 5.2
Reporter: Matt B
Import from entities tool does not correctly handle the bidirectional ManyToMany relationships because in some cases it does not define mappedBy on one side.
example:
public class SecGroup implements java.io.Serializable {
....
@ManyToMany(fetch = FetchType.LAZY)
@JoinTable(name = "SecGroupUser", schema = "dbm", joinColumns = {
@JoinColumn(name = "GroupId", nullable = false, updatable = false) }, inverseJoinColumns = {
@JoinColumn(name = "UserId", nullable = false, updatable = false) })
public Set<SsUsers> getSsUserses() {
return this.ssUserses;
}
....
}
public class SsUsers implements java.io.Serializable {
...
@ManyToMany(fetch = FetchType.LAZY)
@JoinTable(name = "SecGroupUser", schema = "dbm", joinColumns = {
@JoinColumn(name = "UserId", nullable = false, updatable = false) }, inverseJoinColumns = {
@JoinColumn(name = "GroupId", nullable = false, updatable = false) })
public Set<SecGroup> getSecGroups() {
return this.secGroups;
}
...
}
It must be for example
public class SecGroup implements java.io.Serializable {
....
@ManyToMany(fetch = FetchType.LAZY, mappedBy = "secGroups")
public Set<SsUsers> getSsUserses() {
return this.ssUserses;
}
....
}
public class SsUsers implements java.io.Serializable {
...
@ManyToMany(fetch = FetchType.LAZY)
@JoinTable(name = "SecGroupUser", schema = "dbm", joinColumns = {
@JoinColumn(name = "UserId", nullable = false, updatable = false) }, inverseJoinColumns = {
@JoinColumn(name = "GroupId", nullable = false, updatable = false) })
public Set<SecGroup> getSecGroups() {
return this.secGroups;
}
...
}
