John Casey commented on JBIDE-12152:
------------------------------------
AFAIK, we're not generating an index for the contents of the maven-repository.zip.
It's easy enough to generate one as we push that content onto
maven.repository.redhat.com, though.
Basically, the .index/* stuff is used when searching for dependencies from m2eclipse. If
you right-click on a project, select Maven -> Add Dependency, or open the POM, select
the Dependencies tab, and click the Add... button, the dialog that comes up allows you to
type a free-form project name fragment, and it'll search the Maven indexes it has
access to for a (list of) matches. Since we don't have our repository indexed, this
part fails to return results, and you have to specify groupId, artifactId, and version
directly for everything you want to add.
A *-redhat version of org.jboss.spec:jboss-javaee-web-6.0 cannot be
found (at
maven.repository.redhat.com/jboss-eap/6.0.0-cr1/maven-repository)
