Rob Stryker commented on JBIDE-12017:
-------------------------------------
how exactly should that restriction be lifted? If all we have is a git remote, we have no
idea what hte username or app id or app name are. These files were added during the setup
phase from the openshift wizard.
Once you requested we moved the data into the project settings configured via the wizards,
we lost the ability to know what the username / app name are for apps that were cloned
outside of eclipse.
I see no real way to solve this.
OpenShift server adapter should be ok with a git project with proper
git remote

Key: JBIDE-12017
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-12017
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: openshift
Reporter: Max Rydahl Andersen
Assignee: Rob Stryker
Fix For: 3.3.1, 3.4.x
1. create/clone openshift application without JBT
2. import this into JBT and team share it with git
3. add user in openshift explorer as used in #1
4. Create openshift server adapter using the project imported
Currently #4 keeps saying the project does not match anything because
it assumes every git project was created with openshift wizard.
That restriction could/should be lifted.
