Brian Fitzpatrick commented on JBIDE-6654:
------------------------------------------
Randall, I certainly understand your concern with the term "Repository".
We're jumping from one overloaded term ("Server") to another
("Repository")... But I think it's a better fit even though Guvnor (rules
mgmt system) and ModeShape (file repository) are not equivalent. A "repository"
is a general term used to describe a location to store stuff... A server has the added
baggage of being started/stopped in the AS world.
No matter what term we choose we're going to run into issues. But I think
"Repositories" is more appropriate than "Servers" in this case to
describe what you're going for.
At the very least we should drop "Servers" from the view name and just leave it
as the "ModeShape" view. But that's too vague IMO.
Hope that helps and doesn't just muddy the water.
Rename ModeShape Servers view to avoid further confusion with
overloaded term "server"

Key: JBIDE-6654
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-6654
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: modeshape
Affects Versions: 3.2.0.M1
Reporter: Brian Fitzpatrick
Assignee: Dan Florian
Fix For: 3.2.x
The ModeShape Servers view provides one more overloaded use of the word
"Server". Perhaps do what was done for the Teiid Designer's server view and
simply call it "ModeShape"?
