Rob Stryker resolved JBIDE-6580.
--------------------------------
Resolution: Done
Initial publishing added for M2.
Introduce RSE behaviour for JBoss server types
----------------------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-6580
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-6580
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: JBossAS
Affects Versions: 3.2.0.M1
Reporter: Max Andersen
Assignee: Rob Stryker
Fix For: 3.2.0.M2
Edit:
Almost all commits for this have been targeted to introduction of server behaviours in
general on JBoss servers. The SCP server type has not changed and still uses its inferior
mechanism for backwards compatibility. Changing it's behaviour would require users to
install RSE and then create an RSE instance for their remote server. It's been decided
to leave SCP servers as is and instead open this behaviour to all JBoss type servers.
Original:
I took a look at SCP deployer this week and I really think we should use the RSE's
api's for remote access instead of add our own.
i.e. the RSE ones actually work on my local SSH deamons without having to change settings
where as I can't get our SSH to connect without auth errors.
Would also give less ui to maintain and generally be simpler.
