Mickael Istria updated JBIDE-12566:
-----------------------------------
Attachment: multiple.target
This target file contains IUs from different sites. It does not use the composite site.
IT has the same content (IUs) as multiple.target (except 1 bundle I updated version -
javax.servlet).
I've:
* validated it => OK.
* generated site from it using target2p2mirror => OK
* validated local.target against this site => OK
I'm just waiting for a go before we commit it.
Instead of a composite site for TP, directly put the URLs inside
TPs.

Key: JBIDE-12566
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-12566
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Enhancement
Components: Build/Releng, target-platform
Reporter: Mickael Istria
Assignee: Mickael Istria
Fix For: 4.0.0.Alpha2
Attachments: multiple.target
Target-Platform allow to define a kind of "composite", which means that instead
of having all IUs coming from a single composite site, we can have several site and list
the IUs they provide.
Since we have need for versioned target-platforms and that target-platforms are easy to
version and publish thanks to Maven, we should drop the composite site in favor of this
approach.
Maintaining/versioning sites is not easy, and in that case, it does introduce additional
complexity (2 entry-points: composite*.xml + multiple.target instead of solely
unified.target).
i tested, and it apprears that current multiple.target2p2mirror script works fine with
multiple URLs. So no big technical issue here.
