Martin Malina commented on JBIDE-12147:
---------------------------------------
Yep, we could link to this doc from the wiki article as well. But it doesn't contain
any details on how to actually add the repo to your maven settings.
With JBIDE-11235 the article could also describe how to use this new functionality to add
the repo rather than just manually editing your settings.xml.
Improve the maven repo doc so users know where to get the EAP 6 (and
WFK 2) maven repo
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-12147
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-12147
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: central, project-examples
Affects Versions: 3.3.0.CR1
Reporter: Martin Malina
Assignee: Snjezana Peco
Fix For: 3.3.0.Final
When a user sets up EAP 6 in JBT/JBDS and tries to create one of the projects from
Central without first setting up the maven repo, they are given a warning and this link:
https://community.jboss.org/wiki/SettingUpTheJBossEnterpriseRepositories
The article provides details about how to add the maven repo, but it doesn't say
anything about where to get the repo and what version is needed exactly (in the future
there will be EAP 6.0.0, 6.0.1, etc.).
The doc needs to be improved so it contains all necessary information for users to get it
working. Especially once we have EAP 6 bundled with JBDS - then it's very possible
that the users won't know where to get the maven repo.
This applies both to EAP 6 and WFK 2 maven repos.
