is this with the lates 3.1.6 GPD? That does not have any auto-layout afaik. Might be that
the corresponding gpd.xml file is not there, so the gpd does not know how to layout the
process (which is in a separate file in jbpm 3 unfortunately (will change in jbpm4/next
gpd)
