Rob Stryker commented on JBIDE-4184:
------------------------------------
The folder it should have been creating was
{serverhome}/server/{config}/tmp/jbosstoolsTemp. The reason this folder is necessary is
so that all the coppying is done into one folder and then "renameTo" to the
actual deploy folder.
As a workaround, you can open the editor, switch to "custom" deploy type and
click browse and create the /server/{config}/tmp/jbosstoolsTemp folder and then try to
save it. It should work.
After a server is created, a listener creates this folder. The logic was faulty and was
not globalizing this pattern. Stewpid on my part.
Switching deployment method fails!

Key: JBIDE-4184
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBIDE-4184
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: 3.0.0.GA
Reporter: Galder Zamarreño
Assignee: Rob Stryker
Priority: Critical
Fix For: 3.0.1.GA, 3.1.0.M1
Attachments: Screenshot.png
Creating a new server and then changing Deployment from "Use Workspace
metadata" to
"Use the JBoss deploy Folder" fails with the error in the attached screenshot.
On top of this, it's creating some empty server folder in my home directory!!
