Snjezana Peco resolved JBDS-2362.
---------------------------------
Fix Version/s: 6.0.0.CR1
(was: 6.0.0.Beta1)
Resolution: Done
This issue is related to the issue described by JBIDE-12588. Both of the issues can be
reproduced using the steps in this jira and are fixed within it.
JBDS-2362
When closing the Welcome view programmatically, Eclipse throws an exception while
attempting to open the JBoss Central editor. I have fixed the issue so that the editor is
opened using the Display.async() method.
JBIDE-12588
Steps to reproduce:
- follow the steps 1-5 in this jira
- restart JBDS without clicking the empty tab or some other action
If some editor isn't opened correctly (following the steps 1-5, for instance), after
restarting, Eclipse tries to open the editor with the
"org.eclipse.ui.internal.emptyEditorTab" id that doesn't exist. Fixed so
that all such editors are closed using the workbench listener when closing Eclipse.
This issue can happen again if the workspace isn't closed correctly (an Eclipse crash,
for instance). However, the first time the workspace is closed correctly, the issue will
disappear.
Empty editor tab

Key: JBDS-2362
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBDS-2362
Project: Developer Studio (JBoss Developer Studio)
Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Components: central
Affects Versions: 6.0.0.Beta1
Reporter: Radim Hopp
Assignee: Snjezana Peco
Priority: Minor
Fix For: 6.0.0.CR1
After closing Welcome screen, two editor tabs are opened. One empty and one Central.
When the empty editor has focus, it "transforms" into another JBoss Central
tab.
Could have something to do with JBIDE-12588 or JBIDE-12598.
Screencast:

Don't know why... in other tries, only one empty tab was opened)
