OK, I get it now - I didn't realize there was a checkbox to actually disable a java
version.
But anyway, I wouldn't worry about that case too much. At least not when solving this
JIRA. If a user disables java 6 in the Java Preferences utility, then all we can do is
warn him - hopefully that will get implemented as part of JBDS-1532. In your words, Denis

If java 1.5 is set as default in the Java Preferences utility and you select java 1.6
